This End User License Agreement (“EULA“) is a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “User“) and Bright Learning Lab, Inc. (“Bright Learning Lab”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), the distributor and operator of Pocket Financial.
Pocket Financial (the “Product”) is the software application, including any related updates, documentation, and services (collectively, the “App“).
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to this EULA.
1. License Grant
Bright Learning Lab grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, strictly for your personal, non-commercial use and in accordance with this EULA.
2. License Restrictions
You must not (and must not permit others to):
- Copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works of the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover the source code of the App (except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law)
- Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the App
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices
- Use the App in any manner that violates applicable law
3. Ownership
The App is licensed, not sold. Bright Learning Lab and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the App, including all intellectual property rights.
4. Updates and Changes
Bright Learning Lab may provide updates, upgrades, patches, or modifications to the App. We may also change or discontinue any part of the App at any time.
You agree that:
- Updates may occur automatically depending on your device settings
- Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the update
5. App Store Terms
If you download the App from Apple’s App Store or Google Play:
- This EULA is between you and Bright Learning Lab, not Apple or Google
- Apple and Google are not responsible for the App
- App store providers may have additional terms you must comply with
For Apple users: you acknowledge Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services for the App.
6. Privacy
Bright Learning Lab’s collection and use of personal information is governed by the Pocket Financial Privacy Policy.

7. Connectivity, Third-Party Services, and Financial Integrations
The App may use third-party services (including analytics, hosting, and financial integration services) to enable features.
Bright Learning Lab does not control and is not responsible for third-party services, including their availability, accuracy, or security practices.
If you connect financial accounts, you authorize Bright Learning Lab and its approved providers to access and process financial data as required to provide requested features.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bright Learning Lab disclaims all warranties and conditions, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Bright Learning Lab does not provide financial, legal, or tax advice through the App.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bright Learning Lab will not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, or data
- Damages arising from your use or inability to use the App
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bright Learning Lab’s total liability under this EULA will not exceed the greater of:
- CAD $100; or
- The amount you paid for the App or subscription (if any) in the 12 months prior to the claim
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; these may not apply to you.
10. Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated.
Bright Learning Lab may terminate this EULA immediately if you violate any provision.
Upon termination:
- All license rights granted to you end
- You must stop using the App and delete all copies from your devices
11. Export Controls
You agree to comply with all applicable export control laws and regulations. You may not use or export the App where prohibited.
12. Governing Law
This EULA is governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, excluding conflict of laws rules.
